Lausanne, February 6, 2026 – In a groundbreaking collaboration, Resilio and ecoinvent have partnered to revolutionise digital environmental assessment. This partnership introduces a new version of the Resilio Database, fully integrated with ecoinvent's industry-leading environmental data. Together, they are setting a new standard for transparency, accuracy, and scalability in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), particularly for electronic equipment.
This initiative is not just a technological leap but also a human one, reinforcing both organisations' commitment to providing the most reliable LCA data available.
What's changing in the world of LCAs
1. Enhanced transparency
With this collaboration, most LCA calculations are now based on ecoinvent's robust datasets, ensuring unparalleled accuracy and traceability in environmental footprint assessments. Resilio doesn't just use ecoinvent's data—it actively contributes to it. As the coordinator of the naKnow research project (funded by France 2030 and supported by ADEME and previously called "Innodata Silicium"), Resilio produces Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data for displays, wafers, hard drives, optical components, and printed circuit boards. This data will be publicly available and integrated into both Resilio Database and ecoinvent.
2. An almost unlimited list of components
Resilio Database now features an expanded list of CPU and GPU component references, totalling over 12,000 entries. This vast library enables users to conduct comprehensive and precise environmental assessments for a wide range of electronic components.
3. Optimised user experience
The new interface simplifies model selection and provides clear, visual impact information through colourful Sankey diagrams. Users can easily navigate and identify key environmental impacts at a glance.

4. API enhancements
The updated API now provides simplified provisioned footprints, returning complete data for each subcomponent and eliminating the need for additional calculations. A new 'meta' key has also been added, containing the configuration of each modelled element, whether it's a device, component, or service.
A new era of transparency and accuracy in LCA
This partnership marks a significant milestone in the field of environmental assessment. By combining Resilio's innovative approach with ecoinvent's trusted data, the collaboration is poised to deliver the most accurate and transparent LCA results to date. This initiative is a major step forward in supporting organisations on their journey toward sustainable IT.
