This document presents a summary of the work carried out to compare the environmental impacts for about twenty laptop models, published
by the manufacturers in their ‘Product Carbon Footprint’ (PCF) sheets and estimated by Resilio based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology.
The aim is to identify the reasons for differences in impacts between different sources providing environmental impact values for digital products and services (public and private databases, manufacturers’ declarations, etc.).
The analysis is based on PCF sheets from Dell and HP, as well as modelling of the impacts of the same models in Resilio Database.
